At the risk of further confusing what was originally, I am sure, no more than a casual observation by Jyri, two thoughts come to mind.
Why would such a small British car be named after a train system? And how did the London Underground, originally called Metropolitan Railway (thank you Hirvinen) end up being called the tube?

I apologise jyri. Here in the UK there was a car called a metro, many years ago. They weren't very good when they where new, most of them fell apart after a few years.
And I kept thinking 'how did an old metro manage to go fast enough to hit a bird in the first place? Never mind the fact that it was driver less!!!
Forgive my ignorance. However it has stimulated my imagination from time to time today lol.
Must say, not sure which is more scary, a driver less train or a Metro with out a driver.
